PHP

PHP is open-source, embedding, cross-platform, and object-oriented. It is free of charge and available almost anywhere online. Aside from that, it can easily be embedded in HTML. Since it is open-source, it is deployable conveniently on a lot of web servers and operating systems.

You should also know that there are disadvantages ahead of this. You cannot use it for large applications, security issues may be present because it is open-source, bugs can always be expected with this and it cannot handle many apps at once.

.NET

This framework possesses language independence, security, base class library, and interoperability. It can support an interaction between libraries and applications with .NET language. It is also developed with advanced security features and gives you easy access to other applications even outside the environment.

Although it can be expensive and slower than the native code, it is still worth its good characteristics. In the end, both are good and you just have to choose what’s more compatible for you.
